What could be more Fayetteville-esque than a Sunday morning run in the parks? Show your appreciation for the City’s parks and trails by participating in our Run for the Parks event. This race will have three different distance options (8.5, 4.5, 2.5 miles) each starting from one of our lovely parks. All races will finish in Walker Park. November 19, 2017

Run for the Parks!
Get out the sneakers and show your appreciation for the city’s parks and trails by participating in our Run for the Parks race event. This race will have three different distance options each starting from one of our lovely parks and finishing in Walker Park.
What: Run for the Parks is a chance for runners and walkers to show their support for the City of Fayetteville parks and trails! With several distance options and a festive finish area - we hope this race can find the runner hiding in everyone. 
When: Sunday, November 19, 2017
Where: All races will utilize the backbone of our trail system (Clear Creek, Scull Creek, Frisco Trails) and finish in Walker Park.
Long Course: 8.5 miles - starts at Lake Fayetteville (9:00am)
Middle Course: 4.5 miles - starts at Gordon Long Park (9:30am)
Short Course: 2.5 miles - starts at Wilson Park (10:00am)

Registration (includes supported course, long sleeve t-shirt, event photo downloads, and NEW THIS YEAR, chip timing and finisher medals)    
Early Registration (2.5 mile / 4.5 mile) is $30
Early Registration (8.5 mile) is $35
*Fees increase by $10 on October 30.

Event Information
Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the Overall Male and Overall Female Finisher of each distance AND to the Top Male and Female Finisher of each age group for each distance.
Age Groups: <10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+
Awards will be announced at 11:15am

Event Schedule
There will be packet pick up option the day prior to the race. Day of packet pick up will also be available. Start times per distance vary by 30 minutes and are listed above. Shuttles will be available at Walker Park prior to the race to take participants to their starting locations.

If you are looking to get involved, we have plenty of opportunities for you! Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and duties will vary from event set up, participant check in, water stations, course monitors, and more. Register for a specific volunteer shift via our events on Give Pulse or contact if interested.
